In the 2011 European Year of Volunteering Vienna Insurance Group encouraged its employees in nine countries to participate in the first Social Active Day by performing volunteer work for a good cause. Many Group employees in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia and Hungary followed the motto "Take your chance and care!", and dedicated a day of their time to the needy and vulnerable.
